Oksana Kazmina is a Ukrainian artist, filmmaker and educator, who works at the intersection of performance and moving image. She is also a participant in the cine-movement and NGO “Freefilmers,” which was originally founded in Mariupol, Ukraine. 

Just before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Kazmina initiated a series of media performances “Contemporary History of Ukraine,” (CHU), which implement her bio dairies, project developed within the residency. Various editions of CHU and it’s BioArt element have been commissioned by the renowned institutions and have participated in numerous shows worldwide.

HALLE 14 in Leipzig,  DAAD in Berlin, National Gallery The Palace in Sofia, and Warehouse in Syracuse, NY among them. 

Currently, Kazmina developes a new edition of biodairies for her upcoming project with the Kunshalle Graz Austria.
